What are generics, how do they compare to the original products?

Generics are pharmaceutical products interchangeable with brand name products from innovator manufacturers; they may be marketed either under the approved non-proprietary name or under a brand (proprietary) name. Generics may differ from other products by size and colour of the tablets, but the formulations of the active pharmaceutical ingredients are exactly the same as in the original product.

How much medication should I take for my condition?

We unfortunately do not assist online with treatment recommendations, offer any medical advice, diagnosis or prognosis. Please consult your doctor/physician regarding these issues, since the effects of a medication are influenced by several factors. This is why dosage will vary from person to person and you need to obtain a physical examination.

How do I divide tablets, what is a pill cutter?

Use a pill cutter to divide tablets. Pill cutters are small and inexpensive devices to cut pills into smaller pieces, usually to halve or quarter a tablet. Since in most cases it is more economical to buy a high dose medication and cut the pills in small pieces than buying the same amount in lower dose medication, this way you can save money. Pill cutters are available in probably all countries. It is also possible to cut pills with a razor blade or pocketknife, but we do not recommend this as it works less precisely.
